Parents & Families New Warriors Family Weekend

November 1-3, 2024

Parents and guardians of new app students, first-year year and transfer, you are invited to return to campus in November to see how your student is settling in to campus life. You can attend one of our open classes, attend chapel and to get a taste of collegiate life yourself! 

Most activities are no cost. Events with ticket sales are linked below. 
Your RSVP for the weekend is appreciated, especially for the Saturday brunch.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2024

9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.  Check In
President’s Patio, Kerrwood Hall (near Fountain)
Stop by the Hospitality Table for your nametag and a weekend schedule, and a cup of coffee or tea to start your day.

Some classes are able to welcome visiting parents and guardians. Review the list of open classes (coming soon) and go back to school—with no tests! Be prepared to participate.

Jesse Covington, Director of the Augustian Scholars Program, shares an update on the program and answers parents' questions.

Global Leadership Center 
"Home for the Holidays: Thoughts on Navigating Your Parent and College Student Relationship," presented by Volney Tavarez, LMFT, Clinical Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. There is no cost for parents to attend, but indoor seating is limited to first 180 registrants. If you have not already checked in, get your name tag and enjoy brunch.

Is there dining on campus?
Feel free to dine on campus at the Dining Commons, which accepts payment at the door (cashless). 

A visiting family member has special needs. Who do I contact?
Please email us at parents@westmont.edu or call (805) 565-6056 so we can advise on disabled parking or other questions.

Where should I park?
Please use any open parking lots.

What are the bookstore hours?
You can stock up on Warrior gear during the following hours:
Friday 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Note, bookstore is closed during chapel, 10:30-11:20 a.m.)
Saturday 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 
Shop online at all hours
