An Accelerated Program
The 16-month ABSN program admits applicants with a baccalaureate degree to complete an intense education and clinical training that prepares them to become a registered nurse. Every year, the college admits two cohorts, each with 24 nursing students.
Students complete clinical rotations at Cottage Health, Sansum Clinic, Santa Barbara Public Health, Goleta Unified School District, Ventura County Medical Center, Ventura County Public Health, Ventura Unified School District, and many other local healthcare facilities.

We are so excited to begin the application process for our next cohort of students. The ABSN program is a 16-month accelerated prelicensure baccalaureate nursing program housed at °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp Downtown. Our facility is the beautifully renovated first and second floors of the existing °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp Downtown building one block from State Street. Our clinical practicums will be completed mainly at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara with a few other ambulatory settings in and around Santa Barbara County. The °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp Downtown Grotenhuis Nursing Program is in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. The °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp Downtown building features a state-of-the-art simulation lab, a team-based learning environment, and progressive healthcare facilities to support a vibrant nursing program. The convenient location also provides students with easy access to their clinical rotations throughout the Santa Barbara area.
