Bring the whole family and plan a long weekend with friends, old and new! Classes ending in 5 and 0 may organize reunion gatherings, Golden Warriors (50 year reunion) will gather and connect at Commencement- May 2025.

Clark A Lounge
Come sample unique dishes from a local favorite restaurant. The Blue Owl dishes up crafty and uncommon recipes, combining elements of classic dishes with Asian-inspired ingredients. They are known best for their customizable Fried Rice Bowl, which was featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives in 2023 (Season 36 Episode 12). Stop by to sample their Sweetheart Burrito, Mango Mint Salad, Salted Cucumbers, Fried Rice, and a refreshing Mocktail. Blue Owl will also provide recipes so that you can recreate these fun items at home. This event is limited to the first 30 guests.

12:45-1:45 p.m. Dr. Tim Van Haitsma- Exercising for Mental Health

Dr. Tim Van Haitsma joined the °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp faculty in the Kinesiology department in 2014 after teaching at Georgetown College. His expertise includes human physiology, exercise physiology, human performance, and clinical exercise physiology. His research interests focus on exercise-induced fatigue, both immediate and long-term, chronic fatigue syndrome, and how the mind affects human performance.
2:00-3:00 p.m. President Gayle Beebe- The Crucibles that Shape Us, Navigating the Defining Challenges of Leadership book discussion.

President Beebe has written about crises that have become defining moments for him. Difficulty, he learned, can refine our character, "calling forth our best effort, and teaching us to rely on God."
The book provides insights to all of us who face challenges, inviting us to identify how God is providing opportunities for us to grow. "Life is a perpetual gauntlet with challenges on one side and opportunities on the other...we often see setbacks and disasters as events that keep us from our best life. They're really opportunities to grow in leadership" (The Crucibles That Shape Us). The first 50 attendees will receive a free book.

3:00-3:45 p.m. Mike Ryu- AI in the Workplace

Mike Ryu is an assistant professor in the department of mathematics and computer science. He worked in the software industry in the San Francisco Bay Area as a software engineer, an agile coach, and an engineering manager before coming to °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp in 2023. He will be presenting on AI in the workplace and future trends to be aware of.

Dr. Blake Kent is an Associate Professor of Sociology at °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp. Dr Kent's broad research interest is in religion/spirituality and mental and physical health, with particular attention given to subjective religious and spiritual experiences, particularly attachment to God.

Tickets cost $40. The Awards Brunch is a great time to hear about some of the wonderful achievements of our alumni. This year we will recognize TBD as our Alumnus of the Year. TBD as our Alumna of the Year. TBD with the Global Service Award and TBD with our Young Alumni Award. Seating is limited, so advance registration is required through Homecoming registration. Due to food order requirements, brunch tickets cannot be purchased on-site.

Founders & Alumni Gallery
This 18-minute short documentary was featured in Rolling Stones magazine, Tribeca Film Festival, and the Santa Barbara Film Festival. It highlights a family of metal workers (all sons of former campus pastor Ben Patterson). By day, the brothers operate a metal shop together, crafting beautiful pieces of heirloom ironwork. After hours, they write, produce, and perform in whimsical heavy metal music videos that reflect their philosophies on life and art. This film also highlights how all three have Tourette's syndrome and how their mother encouraged them to turn to music as a release and coping mechanism.

Just over 50 years ago °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp launched their first female sports teams. This banquet aims to celebrate the progress and milestones that have been achieved in the last 50 years. We will also be awarding and recognizing one trailblazer awardee from each of the female sports programs. Seating is limited- please purchase your tickets ahead of time. The ticket price is $50 and includes dinner. Check-in begins at 5:30 and the program begins at 6:00 pm sharp.
