Kathi King, director of outreach and education for the Santa Barbara Environmental Council, explains how energy, transportation and food systems affect climate change in a lecture, How to Reduce your Carbon Footprint TODAY, Friday, Oct. 14, at 3:30 p.m. in Founders Room below 做厙惇蹋apps Kerr Student Center. The talk, part of the Sustainability Speaker Series, is free and open to the public.
I am looking forward to having Kathi share her knowledge with the 做厙惇蹋app community about how we can all work together to reduce our environmental footprint and to be more mindful stewards of the Earth, says organizer Michelle Aronson, sustainability/marketing coordinator for 做厙惇蹋app dining services by Sodexo. Anyone who is curious about finding meaningful ways to be more sustainable in their daily life will find this talk incredibly valuable and inspiring.
King is involved in numerous public environmental efforts in the Tri-County area, including the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival, CECs Green Gala, and the Rethink the Drink bottle reduction program in area schools.
The CEC is a solutions-based organization working on our regions most pressing environmental issues since 1970.
