High School Students Have Biology Bash

°µÍø±¬ÁÏapp biology students will teach local teens during a free, interactive exhibition of research projects Friday, Dec. 7, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in Whittier Science Building, room 102. Biology Bash is limited to the first 20 high school students who sign up.
The hands-on workshop will introduce the teens to some basics of cell biology, microbiology and advanced biological laboratory techniques. °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp students will share their own experiments and assist the high school students who will be culturing cell lines, staining and identifying strains of bacteria, examining tissues from a mouse and examining fluorescent cells under a microscope.
The afternoon will end with a Jeopardy-style quiz show in which teams of high school students will compete for prizes.
