Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensembles Present Fall Concert

The °µĶų±¬ĮĻapp Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensembles will present their fall concert 8 p.m. Nov. 22 in Deane Chapel, on °µĶų±¬ĮĻappās lower campus. Admission is free.
The Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Emily Sommermann, will perform Vivaldiās āD minor Concerto Grosso,ā the āAdagioā from the First Organ Sonata by Mendelssohn and the famous āHolberg Suiteā by Edvard Grieg.
āIt is exciting to work with this ensemble and to watch these musicians grow,ā Sommermann said. āIt will be a great performance.ā
The Wind Ensembleās performance, directed by Ron McCarley, will include āThe Thundererā by John Philip Sousa, theme music from āThe Lord of the Ringsā by Howard Shore and selections from āWater Music Suiteā by G.F. Handel.
āThis yearās group is already playing well together,ā McCarley said. āWe can expect a great concert. The program is very diverse and reflective yet very accessible. It should be a very stimulating and enjoyable evening.ā
