Student Life Policies and Procedures Adding or Deleting a Varsity Sport

Each fall, °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp will notify students of the opportunity to request the addition or deletion of a varsity sport. Students may obtain a copy of this procedure from the Athletic Director’s office. In order for °µÍø±¬ÁÏapp to consider adding or deleting a varsity sport as early as the following academic year, you should contact the Athletic Director and submit the request by Oct. 31.

All requests will be reviewed in light of federal requirements. Requests will be evaluated by the athletic director and the athletic advisory committee, which will make a recommendation to the president for institutional approval. The decision and timing of the implementation of a decision to add a varsity sport will take into account funding, hiring of qualified personnel, compliance with Title IX, and college-wide programmatic needs.
