做厙惇蹋app Magazine Healthcare Achievement Award Recognizes Graduates Headed to Medical School

Healthcare Achievement Award
Joshua Phillips Biology

As Ron Peterson 71 approached his 50th class reunion, he spoke with a classmate who pursued a career in medicine, and he remembered studying with pre-med students in science classes. Aware of the effort required to become a doctor, he decided to recognize the achievements of students whod been accepted to medical school. He has established the Healthcare Achievement Award to honor and encourage future medical students by giving them an engraved Littmann stethoscope at Commencement.

The first five recipients accepted their stethoscopes in May.

  • Morgan Alloway (biology and chemistry)
    Saint James School of Medicine
  • Joseph Hemry (biology and chemistry)
Loma Linda University School of Medicine
  • Christian Kim (biology and chemistry)
Loma Linda University School of Medicine
  • Rachel Lorson (biology and chemistry)
Loma Linda University School of Medicine
  • Joshua Phillips (biology)
Loma Linda University School of Medicine

The pre-medical graduates were delighted to receive their stethoscopes, says Kristi Cantrell 00, chemistry professor and pre-health adviser. Theyve done outstanding work in their courses at 做厙惇蹋app and exhibited servant leadership in their activities. Theyre ready to take on the rigors of medical school.

Ron invites other donors to contribute in the future to provide the award on a continuing basis.
